Welcome to West Toronto Community Choir!
West Toronto Community Choir (WTCC) is a joyful gathering of people who genuinely love to sing. Founded in 2016, our choir comes together weekly to make music, connect with one another, and foster a strong sense of community through shared creative expression. We believe in the power of collective singing—not just for the music itself, but for the friendships, laughter, and belonging it cultivates.
We are a 135-member, mixed-voice, secular adult choir serving the vibrant communities of Roncesvalles, Parkdale, the Junction, and surrounding areas. Our members include a blend of seasoned choristers and those new to singing—no auditions are required, and all voices are welcome. We pride ourselves on being accessible, inclusive, and supportive, creating a space where everyone can grow musically and socially, no matter their background or experience level.
WTCC performs two to three major concerts each season, alongside guest appearances at beloved local events like Roncy Rocks and the Roncesvalles Community Tree Lighting Ceremony. Our repertoire features an eclectic mix of contemporary choral works, folk tunes, musical theatre favourites, and the occasional pop anthem—songs that are fun to sing and resonate with our audiences.
Our vibe is casual, warm, and community-first, with an emphasis on shared music-making rather than perfection. We value and celebrate diversity in all its forms—race, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, ability, education, and political perspective—and we are committed to being a welcoming space for all who want to raise their voices in song.
Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m. at Roncesvalles United Church, where the music is lively, the energy is high, and the spirit of togetherness is always in tune.
